TripPack (trippack.ai) is operated by SecondEarth (세컨드어스), Seoul, Republic of Korea. This policy explains what we collect when you use TripPack and why. Questions: sunwoo@secondearth.io.
Your packing lists stay on your device
TripPack has no accounts. Your checkmarks, removed items and custom items are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
When you share a list, the link contains your trip details (destination, dates or nights, trip type, travelers, luggage, laundry) so the same list can be rebuilt. Anyone with the link can see those details. Checkmarks and custom items aren’t included in the link.
Weather and destination lookups
To suggest destinations and check the weather, your browser sends the destination text you type, and the coordinates and dates of your trip, to Open-Meteo’s geocoding, forecast and historical weather APIs. These requests come from your browser, so Open-Meteo also receives your IP address as part of the normal web request.
Analytics
We use PostHog (US cloud) to understand how TripPack is used: page views and product events such as generating a list, sharing, copying or printing it, checking items (sampled), and clicking on TripPack Kits. These events include trip details like trip type, a range of nights, luggage type and destination country — not your name. PostHog sets a cookie and uses local storage to recognize returning browsers.
Early-access email
If you join the TripPack Kits early-access list, we store your email address in PostHog, linked to your analytics activity on TripPack, with the kit you chose. We use it only to tell you when TripPack Kits launch and, if needed, to ask about that launch. We don’t sell it. To be removed, email sunwoo@secondearth.io and we’ll delete it.
Fonts
TripPack loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you by emailing sunwoo@secondearth.io. You can block analytics with your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker; TripPack still works.
Children
TripPack isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change and change the date above.
